Which one to choose between NMIMS Regular on-campus MBA and NMIMS Distance MBA Program?

 There is no straightforward answer to which one to choose between NMIMSdistance and regular MBA. Both programs are designed for different segments of students and working professionals. Comparing them is like comparing Apple with Orange. In reality, both programs are widely accepted by the corporate world. Both programs have their advantages and disadvantages.  

NMIMS Regular on Campus program:

This program expects the candidates to first clear the competitive NMAT Exam and then spend 2 years in NMIMS campus for completion of their degree. So mostly freshers and entry-level working professionals who are very good at quantitative skills and logical reasoning would prefer to go for this program. Mostly they choose this path because they want to have a good kick start in their career. Let’s see the PROS and CONS of this program.

PROS: 

  1. Get exposure to the latest tool and technology in the current challenging and Demanding world.
  2. Able to create a very good professional network.
  3. Deals with a more comprehensive curriculum and case studies.
  4. Get industrial visit and internship.
  5. Get a very good career start with campus Placement opportunities   

Cons: 

  1. Need to spend 2 years on campus and sometimes a year for preparing NMAT exams.
  2. The Program fees are very expensive somewhere around 14 – 20 lack 
  3. Lose 3 years equivalent real-time Industry experience. 

 

NMIMS DISTANCE/ONLINE MBA 

This program eligibility is mostly with the Graduation percentage and work experience. So, most people who are already working and do not want to take a break in their career are more inclined toward this program. Mostly They choose this program because they want to uplift their career and skills without taking a break in their Job. Let’s see the PROS and CONS of this program.


PROS:

  1. Get a chance to build his experience and academic skills at the same time.
  2. Learn the program at his own pace.
  3. Get more flexibility in terms of classes and scheduling exams.
  4. The cost of the program is relatively smaller and can be handled very well 
  5. Get Alumni status of a renowned university.

Cons:

  1. Lack of Networking 
  2. Number of case studies involved are limited.
  3. No campus placement opportunity. 

Conclusion: Both Program NMIMS regular and NMIMS Distance/online program have their value in the real-time world. The candidate needs to access his situation and wisely do the selection of the program.
